I love having a clean house. I do not love house cleaning. So I gathered these cleaning tips from other bloggers and myself to make for an easy clean!
Disposable Toilet Brushes!
Having an actually toilet brush may be a little cheaper but the germs and the extra cleaning you have with keeping a toilet brush around! I am usually a huge fan of having items that I don’t have to keep purchasing but this is one of the things that I am ok spending a little more on. Toilet germs is something I don’t like messing with! So having flush-able toilet cleaners saves on having wet dirty toilet brushes being dragged around from toilet to toilet to a sink to clean them. Ick!

Clean Your Microwave
I hate cleaning the microwave, especially in my new home. The microwave is above the stove and I am not a tall person. So to get it good I need to get out a stool. This is a great tip on the post “How To Successfully Clean A Microwave With Vinegar And Lemon” You just mix some basic house hold items most of us already have in the house. Equal Parts Water and White Vinegar, and little bit of Lemon Juice in a microwaveable bowl. Place in the microwave for 5 minutes, relax and wait. When done wipe down the microwave with a clean rag. Lint Roller On Lamps
This is especially helpful for us with furbabies. My cats like to walk on my nightstand and end tables and sometimes they rub on the lamp shades and the next thing you know my lamp shades have grown their own fur coat.
Reduce Streaks on Glass
Homemade glass cleaner and newspaper is the way to go when cleaning glass. I would fight with my name brand glass cleaner and paper towels and there would always be streaks when I was done. This 4 Ingredient Glass Cleaner by The Candie Corner shares her recipe with general household products.

Swiffer Wet for Cleaning the Wall
This is my favorite hack! A while back we had moved into this one apartment that was kind of dingy. We wanted to do a full wipe down of everything! We were also exhausted from packing and moving. So a quick clean up idea I had been to take the swiffer wet mop we used for the tile floor and use it on the walls. This worked amazingly. Allowed us to reach the whole wall quickly and without getting up and down on a step stool. After figuring out this hack we actually clean our walls more frequently.
Soap/Vinegar Scrub in shower
I hate cleaning the tub more than anything. So I started keeping a scrub brush that is meant to hold soap with Dawn Dish Soap and White Vinegar in my shower and every couple of days I will clean my shower while I am in the shower. This keeps my shower cleaner and really takes less time in the long run.
Keep Soap Scum Off Glass Shower Doors.

Use Basic Household Products As Cleaning Products.
If you need to save money or just ran out of a cleaning product try using some simple items you may already have in your kitchen! Try baking soda to remove some stains and smells. Lemon Juice is a great disinfectant and Vinegar can be used to unclog drains. I mixed all three together to make a safe but really effective cleaner to get hair dye out of my hardwood floors. It really works. For more clever uses check out Money Saving Green Cleaning Products (That You Already Have In Your Kitchen) by Dancing Through The Rain.
